Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Howard Bradley and Opal Breedlove Bradley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Bradley. David was a U.S. Air Force veteran and owner and operator of Overland Truck Tire Center. He was an active member of First Baptist Church serving as the sound technician for 25 years; was a member of the Gideon’s International and member of the Civil Air Patrol. David was a gentle, honest, kind-hearted and above all a God-fearing man. He loved life and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need and would do anything he could to help his family, friends and neighbors. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elaine Baldwin Bradley; daughter, Gwen Bradley of Franklin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 26, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home, with Rev. Jack Jarrett, Rev. Robert Brown and Rev. Jim Dusek officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108 conducted military graveside rites.
The family received friends from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ronald Bradley, Jr., Randy Stanfield, Alfonso Schiebel, Brad Shiebel, Russell Stanfield and Bobby Peek. “The Good Ole Boys” served as Honorary Pallbearers.
