Born in Beverly, MA, he was the son of Alan Gerard Hill, Jr. and the late Constance Reed Hill. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hill. After moving from New England, Alan and his family lived in Pinellas Park, Florida for 32 years but found Franklin over 25 years ago and considered this place “home.” Alan loved his family, the water, fishing, gardening, rock hounding and loved the process of planning and rebuilding his home in Franklin. He was Protestant by faith.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Lombard Hill; two children, Alan G. Hill, IV “Jerry” of Greer, SC and Colleen Corpening and husband Kevin of Franklin; brother, Thomas Hill of Gloucester, MA; sisters, Suzanne Patterson of St. Petersburg, FL and Laura Eide of Parrish, FL; grandson, William Robert Corpening and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, at Prentiss Church of God. Rev. Tim Hayes will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
