Michael Johnson Higdon of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed uneasily into eternity on the first day of April, 2014.

The son of Ann Lyle and Joe Higdon, both of Franklin, was born January 20, 1955. Mike is survived by his wife, Jean, step-father and Daddy Woody Needham, Spartanburg, SC, brother Jonathan Moncrief Needham, Baltimore, MD, Aunt Laura Kallam, and first cousins Tim and David Kallam, each of Greenville, SC.

In Franklin, Mike was a young, Christian and athletic fish in a small pond; however, growing-up in the metropolitan areas of Washington, DC, Atlanta and Orlando transformed him into a small-mouthed bass who competed unsuccessfully against the sharks and killer whales which live in the big city ocean.

Nonetheless, Mike always presented a happy person to all who befriended him. He was a master of plumbing, an avid reader of fiction, huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and NASCAR racing was highly fancied.

Cremated, he will be buried in the Lyle Family Plot, Woodlawn Cemetery, Franklin, near his beloved mother, Ann, and grandmother, Elizabeth Lyle.

May the Lord allow Mike to rest-in-peace in His hometown where all are equally blessed.
