The daughter of the late James and Flora Fitzgerald McCall, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe Brendle. She was a loving mother and devoted caregiver; she loved her church and was a friend to all. She was a long term member of Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Jennie is survived by two daughters, Shirley Dills and Joyce Brendle Fox and husband Bruce, all of Franklin; one sister, Karen Stinson of Franklin; a sister-in-law, Mildred Wallace and husband Sonny of Franklin; four brothers, Dan McCall of Chipley, FL, James McCall Jr., Charles McCall and Johnny McCall, all of Franklin. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Parris and Betty Brendle; one son, James Brendle; a son-in-law, George Dills; one grandson, Doug Parris; and two sisters, Elizabeth Huscusson and N. A. McCall.
A funeral service was held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 8, at Cowee Baptist Church with Rev. David Powell, Rev. Ronnie Branson, and Rev. Lloyd Fish officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Bobby Bolick, Mike Cochran, James Garrett, Bruce Harwood, David Morgan, Benny Reynolds, Furman Shook, and James Greenwood. Deacons served as honorary pallbearers. A reception was held following the service at the church.
