Born October 25, 1920 in Indian Lake, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Florence Brown.
Edna attended Indian Lake High School and on October 25, 1939 she married Edward Goulet in Olmsteadville with the Rev. Hatch officiating.
With her husband she owned and operated Goulet’s Wood Products in Indian Lake. In 1967 Edna and Edward moved the family to Florida and in 1975 they retired to Franklin, NC. They bought and converted a former private boarding school for girls into their home with apartments and a campground. While renovating the school they also ran Goulet’s Locksmith for 10 years. After retiring from the campground and locksmith businesses they moved to Hudson Falls with their daughter Kathryn.
She loved square dancing with her husband in Florida and North Carolina. While living with her daughter in Hudson Falls she enjoyed sunny days on the front porch viewing the farm and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren work and play. She loved to reminisce about the old days, and her childhood spent at Lewey Lake Campsite where her parents were caretakers for 30 years. She also enjoyed visiting her daughter Elaine’s lakeside camp and trips to the ocean and White Mountains with her daughters. She always referred to herself as “just a Country girl” and “A tough Ol’ Bird.”
For the past three years Edna was cared for by Kathryn and Elaine with assistance from her daughter Karen during the summers. She also enjoyed visits from her other daughter Linda.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward Goulet of 72 years in 2012, a son Edward “Beaver” Goulet in 1991 and her sister Lenore Lewis.
