Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Nellie Watts Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James, John and Glenn, and sisters, Bessie Ledford, Kate Speed and Irene Ledford. Betty was a member of Gillespie Chapel United Methodist Church and loved the mountains. She retired from Oxford Sewing Plant. Betty enjoyed taking care of her great-granddaughter and doing for others. She will be remembered as a loving and kind person.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Daniel; two sons, Eddie Daniel and Donny Daniel both of Commerce, GA; brother, Bob Ledford of Royston, GA; two sisters, Mary Hodgin of Franklin and Linda Ledford of Danielsville, GA; four grandchildren, Patricia Denton, Kathy Ayers, Timmy Daniel and Randy Ayers; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, at Gillespie Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Bobby Cloer and Rev. Douglas Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Denton, Timmy Ledford, Keith Ledford, Kevin Ledford, Wayne Hodgin and T.C. Ledford.
