FRANKLIN – Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Enloe, 101, passed away at Grandview Manor on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020. She was born Oct. 16, 1919 in Lawrence, Essex County, Massachusetts to the late Arthur Raymond and Ruth E. Remick Drummond.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur Drummond and William Drummond; sister, Marilyn Chase; and step-grandson Nik Fredrick

Surviving Ruth are her sons, William (Ann) Enloe, Jeff (Melaine) Enloe, James “Jimmy” (Kerry) Enloe and Gregory (Patti) Enloe; grandchildren, Cynthia (Doug) Neff and Timothy Enloe; and several nieces and nephews. 

Ruth was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. She was trained as a nurse, but was a homemaker who put her talents in the medical field to use by volunteering. Ruth volunteered with the hospital auxiliary where she had many hours. She volunteered with the mobile blood bank as well as various clinics when they would come to town. Ruth enjoyed flowers, and her flower gardens were eyecatching.  

A graveside funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2020 in the Mt. Zion cemetery with Pastor Evan Hill officiating.
