FRANKLIN – Lola C. Powell, 102, passed peacefully to her Heavenly home on the morning of Jan. 15, 2021.
A summer resident for forty years, she moved here permanently in 2012. Lola attended the Watagua Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, singing and gospel music, studying the Bible, and being with family and friends. She was an excellent historian and storyteller.
Lola was preceeded in death in 1998 by her husband, C.B. Jack Powell.
She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Powell of Franklin. No local service is planned.
