  • Macon County Landfill and all convenience centers will be closed in observance of the holiday.
  • Macon County Public Library will be closed in observance of the holiday.
  • The Jacob and Mary Margaret Baker Fouts family reunion will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the fellowship hall of Burningtown Baptist Church. Bring a favorite food and family photos to share.
  • The annual Carpenter family reunion will be held beginning at 10 a.m., at the Otto Fire Department. Come bring a covered dish to share with family and friends.
  • New Century Scholars "Summer Splash Party" fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Macon County Recreation Park pool. Come out and enjoy some good old summer fun with music, food and sunshine. Admission is $3 per person. All proceeds go to the New Century Scholars Program.
